Brasil launches call for proposals for COP30 Youth Climate Champion
Applications are now open for the public notice to facilitate the participation of young people in the COP30 debates. Young people with Brazilian nationality and residing in the country, between 18 and 35 years old, with experience in the climate and environment agendas, fluent in English can apply until 11 March.

On 28 February, the government of Brasil, through the National Youth Secretariat of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, opens applications to select the Presiency Youth Climate Champion (PYCC) for COP30 (United Nations Climate Change Conference), which will be held in Belém in Pará this November. The purpose of the action is to promote and facilitate the participation of global youth in climate discussions and actions during the conference.
Applications are open until 11 March and must be made exclusively by email, sending the required documentation to the following address selecao.pycc@presidencia.gov.br.
The selection is seeking young people of Brasil living in the country, between 18 and 35 years old, with experience in projects related to climate and environmental issues, fluency in English and a previous record of participation in national and international events on the subject. The PYCC will act as a facilitator of youth issues in climate negotiations, promoting awareness and the inclusion of this population in global policies and actions to face the climate crisis.
The documents required include a resume, experience certificates and a declaration of awareness and acceptance of the terms of Decision 16/CP28, in accordance with Annex I of the call for applications.
The President of COP30 will be responsible for selecting the young champions once the final list of qualified candidates is made public. The PYCC will have no employment relationship with the government of Brasil and will not receive any remuneration for their role.
