Temporary use of frequency

Request for the use of radio frequency within the scope of COP30

The conference will be held from November 10 to 21, 2025, at the City Park/Hangar Convention and Trade Show Center in Belém, Brazil. Requests for the temporary use of radio frequencies can now be submitted. Applications should preferably be made by 10/25/2025.

Within the Brazilian territory, the use of radio frequencies by equipment such as video links, wireless microphones, intercom systems, satellite transmission systems, among others, requires prior authorization from the National Telecommunications Agency – Anatel, as provided for in Law No. 9,472, of 1997, and Anatel Resolution No. 775, of April 28, 2025.

Requests for temporary use of radio frequencies must be made exclusively through a form and send to the official COP30 email frequencymanagement@cop30.br.
Instructions are available on the COP30 website (cop30.br), in the Press/Temporary Frequency section where the application form can be downloaded. The form must be sent determining the name of the requester in the SUBJECT field.

Applications must meet the following criteria:

• Only radio and television stations, news agencies, security agencies and telecommunications operators, national and international, and foreign delegations can request this service;

• Application forms must be completed in full, including the necessary technical information and the submission of required documentation;

• Requests should preferably be made by 10/25/2025.

Step-by-step procedures for requesting temporary use of radio frequencies:

• Applicants must fill out the form available on the official COP30 website and send it to email frequencymanagement@cop30.br.

• The requests received are analyzed by the company responsible for the procedure;

• The responsible company opens the process with the National Telecommunications Agency – Anatel, which provides the authorization or denial of the request;

• If the request is authorized, the applicant must pay the company responsible for the procedure a fee stipulated by the National Telecommunications Agency – Anatel. Only after the payment and processing of this fee will the applicant be able to use the radio frequency service.
