COP30 SERVICES

COP30 Accessibility

COP30 will be held in Belém, in the heart of the Amazon — a vibrant and diverse region that inspires the world with its natural, cultural, and human richness.
The Amazon is plural, and so is COP30.

We believe that caring for the planet also means caring for people. That is why accessibility is a fundamental pillar in building a truly sustainable event — one that welcomes and values all forms of existence, thought, and expression.

The diversity that drives discussions on sustainability and the SDGs – Sustainable Development Goals, among which we are directly aligned with SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities, is also reflected in how we plan the experience of every participant. Our commitment is to ensure that everyone, without exception, can fully participate in the dialogues and experiences that will make COP30 a historic milestone for the planet.

Accessibility Resources

At COP30, we believe that everyone should be able to fully experience the event — with comfort, independence, and safety.
With this in mind, we have prepared a variety of resources and services to ensure that every participant feels welcome, respected, and supported in every detail.

Our accessibility team and volunteers will always be nearby to help — whether with information, equipment loans, assistance with mobility, or any other specific needs.
Count on us!

Accessible Transportation

Belém is preparing to welcome the world with accessible and efficient public transportation.

All city buses are equipped with lifts and adapted for people with disabilities or reduced mobility.

For COP30, there will be 250 buses dedicated to exclusive event routes, including 100 brand-new vehicles entering service especially for the event.

The routes have been designed according to the accommodation map, ensuring practical and safe travel near Belém’s hotel network.

Official COP30 buses will drop participants 300 meters from the entrances, and each bus will have a trained volunteer in addition to the driver.

There will be 108 stops, from the airport to the event venues, including the Outeiro region, where the ships will be located.

For those using ride-hailing apps or taxis, pick-up and drop-off points will be 700 meters from the main entrance.

Whenever possible, we encourage the use of public transportation.

A personal and non-transferable voucher will be provided for this purpose. This request must be made at the accessibility desk 24 hours in advance, with proof provided, unless you have a visible physical disability in your lower limbs. Proof will be accepted through the following documents:
