Please first download the COP 30 UNFCCC registration acknowledgement letter and then follow the link to initiate your visa application on COP30 visa application portal. The acknowledgement letter is required as part of visa application step confirming that you are duly registered for COP30.

The COP30 e-visa is free of charge for COP 30 registered participants.

2. A colour copy of the biodata page of your passport; and
3. A copy of your COP30 UNFCCC registration acknowledgement letter.

Only holders of:

1. ordinary passports;
2. diplomatic passports;
3. official passports;
4. service passports;
5. laissez-passer;
6. United Nations Laissez-Passer (UNLP) are eligible to apply for the e-visa.

Participants holding any other type of travel document must apply for a visa through the conventional procedure at Brazilian diplomatic missions or consular posts abroad.

The visa will be issued within ten (10) working days upon submission of a complete application through the official electronic COP30 e-Visa portal.

Participants are encouraged to apply for their entry visa through the official electronic e-Visa portal or at Brazilian diplomatic missions or consular posts abroad as early as possible, but no later than four weeks before the opening of the Pre-sessional Meetings, Conference, or relevant UNFCCC events.

After submitting your application, please allow up to ten (10) working days for initial processing. Once your e-visa has been issued, you must carry a printed or electronic copy with you when traveling.

Notifications regarding the acceptance, issuance, or cancellation of the COP30 e-Visa will be sent to the applicant’s registered email address. It is therefore important to ensure that your email address is entered correctly during the application process.
