Press accreditation for Pre-COP coverage is open until October 3
The event, scheduled to take place in Brasília, will gather climate ministers from worldwide to facilitate consensus on critical issues ahead of COP30

Commercial media professionals interested in covering the Pre-COP must complete the electronic accreditation form by 6 p.m. (Brasília time) on October 3. Members of public media outlets should also apply through this process.
To confirm accreditation, the ministry may request proof of professional registration and employment with a media outlet.
Submitting a request does not guarantee approval. Applicants will be informed whether their request has been granted or denied.
Individual credentials, or badges, will be issued in advance on October 10, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the entrance of the Itamaraty Palace Ceremonial. Professionals unable to collect them on this date may do so at the event venue. Press credentials are personal and non-transferable.
Questions and requests regarding press accreditation should be sent to: imprensa@itamaraty.gov.br.
Official press
Accreditation for official press professionals will be limited to two members (one photographer and one videographer or technician) per delegation. It must be done on the same accreditation platform used by delegations.
Temporary Admission of Press Equipment
For the entry of goods and equipment by commercial media into Brazilian territory, a declaration must be submitted to the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service.
The declaration must be filled out individually using the electronic e-DBV form, and can be completed in advance before arriving in Brasil. More information is available on the Federal Revenue Service website.
Requests for the temporary admission of equipment for official media representatives must be processed via Note Verbale.
Pre-COP
The event will take place on October 13–14, at the Brasil International Convention Center (Centro Internacional de Convenções do Brasil/ CICB), in Brasília. This preparatory meeting will convene climate ministers and negotiators from worldwide to facilitate consensus on key issues for COP30. COP30 will take place from November 10–21 in Belém, Pará.
Between 30 and 50 international delegations are expected to participate in the Pre-COP, which is organized by the host country approximately a month before the Climate Conference. Representatives of UNFCCC observers will also be invited.
