Empowering and Equipping People to Accelerate Progress

Today, COP30 spotlights a people-powered transition where work, learning, and culture shape a fair and resilient future. The day begins with the launch of the Global Initiative on Jobs & Skills for the New Economy, introducing its first Flagship Report and Action Agenda to help nations and industries weave decent jobs and training into their transition pathways.

Sessions on Indigenous Adaptation elevate locally led climate solutions and new approaches to direct financing, while the Asset Owners Summit brings leading investors together to align capital with transition goals. A roundtable on Skills Development for Women and Youth highlights on-the-ground innovation advancing the just transition, and Narratives and Storytelling to Face the Climate Crisis explores how art and culture can shift mindsets and inspire change.

Across all discussions, Day 3 underscores that effective climate action begins with people — their skills, creativity, and shared commitment to a livable future.
