ABOUT COP30
United Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs)
United Nationally determined contributions (NDCs) are central to the Paris Agreement and to achieving its long-term goals. They include each country's efforts to reduce national emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change. NDCs 3.0, which represent the third round of country contributions, must be progressive and more ambitious than the current NDCs and could be the last chance to put the world on a path towards a global emissions trajectory consistent with the Paris Agreement's 1.5 °C goal, according to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
