Civil society organizations, companies, and government agencies interested in hosting virtual events during the conference — which takes place from November 10 to 21 in Belém — can pre-register at www.routetobelem.com/maloca.

Eligible events include those hosted during COP30 that aim to reach audiences beyond Belém, as well as initiatives from other regions of Brazil or around the world that promote climate knowledge-sharing and action.

Developed by the COP30 Presidency in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Maloca features AI-powered simultaneous translation in seven languages and capacity for up to 7,200 events across 20 virtual environments, operating 24 hours a day. Participants can also record their sessions and download the videos for wider distribution or to document their activities.

The platform also features Macaozinho, an AI chatbot trained exclusively on official UN documents to provide reliable information on climate change.
