Press briefing on the Leaders' Meeting on Climate and Just Transition

This Tuesday, April 22, at 9:00 AM (Brasilia time), the COP30 president-designate, Ambassador André Corrêa do Lago, and the UN Secretary-General's Special Advisor on Climate Action, Selwin Hart, will participate in a press briefing to preview details of the virtual meeting of Heads of State and Government, requested by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as part of the joint mobilization strategy for COP30.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 23, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (Brasilia time). It is a virtual meeting of a small but representative group of global leaders to discuss strengthening global efforts to combat the climate crisis and accelerating a just transition. The meeting is exclusive for Heads of State and Government.
