High Attendance at COP30 Green Zone Prompts Reminder on Access Guidelines and Capacity Limits
Due to the large number of visitors, the COP30 organizing committee reiterates opening hours, access rules, and the maximum capacity of 7,500 people. During periods of high attendance, entry may be temporarily paused for a few minutes once maximum capacity is reached

The Green Zone at COP30, located at Parque da Cidade in Belém (Pará), serves as a space connecting civil society, public and private institutions, and global leaders to dialogues, innovations, and sustainability initiatives. Open to the public, it aims to bring the climate agenda closer to people’s daily lives and to strengthen social participation in discussions about the planet’s future.
To ensure the best experience and the safety of all, specific guidelines for operation and access have been established. The Green Zone is open daily, with gates opening at 9 a.m. and closing at 7 p.m. Entry is through the main gate on Avenida Senador Lemos (Gate 8), and exit is through the side gate on the same avenue (Gate 9).
Please note: admission is free and open to all ages; however, the maximum capacity is 7,500 visitors. Once this limit is reached, safety measures will be implemented to ensure the comfort of everyone. During peak hours, volunteers will be available to guide new visitors.
To facilitate faster and smoother entry, visitors are encouraged to avoid bringing large backpacks or bags. Everyone’s cooperation is essential to maintain the spirit of collaboration that defines this historic event.
