Global Implementation Accelerator Information Session

The COP30 and COP31 Presidencies will present the Global Implementation Accelerator this Friday (12 June), a joint initiative aimed at turning climate commitments into action by accelerating the deployment of solutions and strengthening cooperation among governments, the private sector, financial institutions, academia, and civil society.
Created under the “Global Mutirão: Uniting Humanity in a Global Mobilization Against Climate Change” decision adopted at COP30, the Accelerator is a voluntary, cooperative mechanism designed to help countries deliver on their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs). It will do so by connecting high-impact initiatives with the partnerships and support needed to scale implementation on the ground.
During the information session, the COP30 and COP31 Presidencies will outline the Accelerator’s objectives, explain how priority solutions will be identified and selected, and present its role in advancing the Global Climate Action Agenda by mobilizing collaborative action across sectors and geographies.
