COP30 will feature 100 electrified vehicles to transport heads of state and members of official delegations participating in the climate discussions in the capital of Pará. The cars were provided by GWM Brazil, a partner organization of the event to be held in Belém.

The fleet includes the Wey 07, a six-seat luxury plug-in hybrid SUV, as well as the plug-in hybrids Tank 300 and Haval H6.

Rui Costa, President Lula’s Chief of Staff, emphasized that the initiative generates positive results across multiple areas. “On behalf of President Lula and myself, I extend our gratitude to GWM for supporting COP30 through the provision of these 100 vehicles. This initiative strengthens Brazil’s partnership with China and reinforces our shared commitment to economic, industrial, and technological integration. The establishment of vehicle production in São Paulo further deepens economic ties and fosters cultural exchange between our nations.”

According to Andy Zhang, President of GWM Brazil & Mexico, the initiative underscores the company’s commitment to the global energy transition and sustainable mobility. “The delivery of this fleet reflects our global strategy to invest in clean mobility solutions and to contribute meaningfully to emissions reduction and the advancement of the international climate agenda,” he said.

The vehicles were delivered this week at the brand’s dealership in Belém, operated by Grupo Revemar.
